COURSE CURRICULUM

The Arts and Humanities Concentration within the Liberal Arts Studies degree offers a comprehensive exploration of human experience through disciplines such as arts, literature, history, philosophy, religious studies, and theatre, providing students with both a broad and in-depth understanding of cultural and intellectual traditions. Students complete 15 credit hours, selecting at least two lower-level courses from options including AR, CO, EN, HI, MU, PL, RS, or TR prefixes, which introduce foundational concepts and skills in creative expression, critical analysis, and communication. At least three upper-level courses at the 300 or 400 level must also be taken, allowing students to engage in advanced study and specialized inquiry, with options spanning leadership, public relations, and higher-level courses in the same disciplines, fostering the development of analytical reasoning, research capabilities, and professional competencies.
