COURSE CURRICULUM

The MPA curriculum requires 39 credit hours, including core courses such as Foundations of Public Administration, Public Managerial Economics, Quantitative Methods for Public Managers, and Leadership in a Changing Workplace. Students must complete a research methods sequence and a capstone seminar where they apply their learning to a real-world policy or management issue. Elective courses allow specialization in tracks like Policy Analysis, Public Management, or Nonprofit Management. Examples of electives include Environmental Sustainability Policy, Health Policy, and International Development Administration. The program also incorporates professional development components, such as internships and workshops on ethical decision-making. For international students, courses may include global comparative perspectives on public administration. The curriculum is designed to be completed in two years of full-time study, with options for part-time enrollment.
