COURSE CURRICULUM

The BA in Art History requires 120 credit hours, including 36 credits in the major. Core courses include Introduction to Art History, Methods and Research in Art History, and a senior capstone seminar. Students must complete surveys in Western art, non-Western art, and modern/contemporary art. Electives allow specialization in areas like Renaissance art, Asian art, or museum studies. General education requirements cover humanities, social sciences, and quantitative skills. Students are encouraged to take studio art courses and participate in internships at Washington DC's renowned museums like the National Gallery of Art.
