COURSE CURRICULUM

The MS in Biology requires 30 credits, including core courses such as Advanced Topics in Biology, Biostatistics, and Research Methods. Students must complete a research seminar and either a thesis (6 credits) or additional electives with comprehensive exams. Elective courses cover specialized areas like Cell Biology, Genetics, Ecology, Microbiology, and Neurobiology. The thesis track involves independent research under faculty supervision, culminating in a thesis defense. Non-thesis students take extra coursework and pass qualifying exams.
