COURSE CURRICULUM

The program consists of 60 credits, including core courses such as Theories of Counseling and Psychotherapy, Psychopathology and the DSM, Group Counseling, and Research Methods in Counseling. Students also take specialized courses like Substance Abuse Counseling, Family and Couples Therapy, and Career Counseling. The curriculum includes 9 credits of electives and requires 700 hours of supervised fieldwork, comprising a 100-hour practicum and a 600-hour internship. Emphasis is placed on ethical and legal issues, multicultural counseling, and assessment techniques. The program culminates in a comprehensive exam or thesis option.
