COURSE CURRICULUM

The Creative Writing MFA focuses on developing a writer’s individual practice through two core components: the MFA Portfolio Progress and the MFA Manuscript and Critical Commentary. The Portfolio Progress element allows students to explore and experiment with different styles, genres, and techniques while receiving guidance and feedback from experienced tutors. This stage emphasizes creative development, helping students to refine their voice, enhance narrative structure, and strengthen the overall quality of their work. The MFA Manuscript and Critical Commentary component is the culmination of the program, where students produce a full-length, polished manuscript accompanied by a critical analysis that reflects on the creative process, influences, and thematic intentions behind their work.
