COURSE CURRICULUM

The Commercial Law and Practice LLM is structured to provide students with a thorough understanding of the legal principles underpinning business and commercial activity, alongside practical skills relevant to professional legal practice. The course begins with foundational modules such as Business Law and Corporate Governance, which examine the regulatory and ethical frameworks governing modern corporations, and Commercial Law and Practice, which explores the mechanisms and structures of commercial transactions. Students then engage with specialized areas of law, including International Trade Law, Employment Law and Practice, and Intellectual Property Law and Practice, gaining insight into the legal challenges faced by businesses in global and domestic contexts. The program also covers Commercial Contracts and Dispute Resolution, equipping students with the skills to draft, negotiate, and resolve complex legal agreements and conflicts. A Capstone Project provides an opportunity for students to integrate their knowledge and demonstrate applied expertise through research and problem-solving on a substantial, practice-oriented project. Throughout the course, students develop critical thinking, analytical reasoning, and research skills while engaging with real-world case studies and current legal developments. By the end of the program, graduates are prepared for careers in legal practice, corporate legal departments, consultancy, regulatory bodies, or any professional context requiring advanced commercial law expertise and transferable legal skills.
