COURSE CURRICULUM

The User Experience Design BA (Hons) degree provides a comprehensive education in designing interactive and user-centred digital products. In Year 1, students are introduced to the fundamentals of design, learning the design process, core UX principles, and the context in which design operates. They develop practical skills through hands-on projects that emphasize user needs and problem-solving, establishing a solid foundation for further study. Critical and contextual studies introduce students to broader theoretical, social, and ethical considerations in UX design, while personal and professional practice modules support career preparation and reflective learning. In the final year, students engage in advanced critical and contextual studies, deepening their understanding of the impact of UX design in society and industry. The personal and professional practice module ensures students are prepared for the workplace, developing employability skills and professional confidence.
