COURSE CURRICULUM

The Events and Experience Management BA (Hons) degree provides a comprehensive and practical approach to developing the skills and knowledge required for a successful career in the events industry. In the first year, students build a strong foundation through modules covering responsible business practices, principles of marketing, financial planning, and the fundamentals of event management, alongside skills development and understanding the role of technology and innovation in events. The second year focuses on applying these skills in more complex and global contexts, exploring intercultural event management, event design, sensory experiences, staging, and digital marketing strategies. Students also engage in business research methods, real-world consulting projects through The Business Lab, and examine contemporary issues in events and festivals, preparing them for professional challenges. In the final year, students consolidate their learning through independent research and career-focused modules, including designing their events career, understanding event policy, politics, and partnerships, and exploring sustainable event management and social justice. Modules in consumer psychology and event experience further enhance their understanding of audience engagement and the impact of events. By combining theoretical knowledge with hands-on practice, this program equips graduates with the creativity, strategic thinking, and professional expertise to succeed in diverse roles across the events and experience management industries, from festival and conference management to destination marketing and experiential design.
