COURSE CURRICULUM

The Aviation Management MSc curriculum is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the air transport industry, combining core theoretical knowledge with practical application. Core modules cover essential areas such as air transport economics, which explores the financial and operational dynamics of airlines and airports, and air transport forecasting and market research, which develops skills in analyzing industry trends and predicting demand. Air transport management and operations modules focus on the strategic and operational challenges faced by airlines and airports, while the research dissertation allows students to undertake an independent, in-depth investigation into a topic of their choice, applying both analytical and problem-solving skills. The MSc also includes the Air Transport Planning and Management Additional Activities program, which offers practical experiences to complement classroom learning and enhance employability. To tailor the course to individual career aspirations, students choose three option modules, such as air traffic management, scheduling and network planning, air transport policy and planning, airline marketing and business models, and airport finance and strategy. These options allow students to focus on areas of particular interest or professional relevance, equipping them with the knowledge and skills needed to excel in management, operations, planning, finance, and consultancy roles across the global aviation sector. The program balances theory, research, and practical insight to prepare graduates for leadership positions in a rapidly evolving industry.
