COURSE CURRICULUM

The Entertainment Law LLM equips students with a comprehensive understanding of the legal frameworks and regulatory issues affecting the global entertainment industry. Core modules, such as Intellectual Property in the Entertainment Business, the Regulation of Relationships in the Entertainment Business, and a Postgraduate Dissertation in Entertainment Law, provide a strong foundation in essential legal principles, including intellectual property, contracts, and governance structures that shape the creative and commercial sectors. The course also offers a wide range of option modules, enabling students to tailor their studies to specific areas of interest, including Contemporary Issues in Entertainment Industries, Law of Digital Entertainment and Social Media, Law and Media: Content and Control, and Emerging Normativities: Law and Blockchain. Students may also engage in Experiential Workplace-Based Learning, allowing them to gain practical, real-world experience in industry settings. The program emphasizes both theoretical knowledge and practical application, enabling graduates to critically analyze the impact of law on entertainment businesses while developing the professional skills required for careers in legal practice, consultancy, management, or advisory roles within media, sports, and creative industries.
