COURSE CURRICULUM

This Finance degree provides a comprehensive foundation in financial theory, practice, and quantitative analysis across three progressive years. In the first year, students are introduced to the fundamentals of finance, including risk and return, portfolio and asset valuation, corporate financial accounting, and financial markets. Emphasis is placed on interpreting financial statements, applying investment mathematics, and understanding real-world market roles, alongside developing professional and digital literacy skills. Students also have opportunities to broaden their knowledge through elective modules in banking or foreign languages. The second year builds on this foundation, integrating theory with practice through financial quantitative methods, securities analysis, and corporate finance. Students explore derivative instruments, valuation techniques, investment decision-making, cost of capital, and corporate events such as IPOs and mergers, while developing analytical skills in probability, regression, time series, and financial modelling. In the third year, the focus shifts to advanced financial problem-solving, investment and portfolio management, risk management, and global financial markets. Students critically examine different types of financial risks, evaluate investment strategies, and gain expertise in sustainable finance and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) issues. By combining theoretical knowledge with practical applications, this program prepares graduates to navigate complex financial markets, make informed decisions, and pursue careers in investment, corporate finance, risk management, and international banking.
