COURSE CURRICULUM

The Computer Science BSc is structured to provide a solid foundation in computing while allowing students to develop expertise in specialised areas. In the first year, students focus on core concepts, including computer systems fundamentals, software development, mathematics for computing, web design, and current trends in computer science, establishing the technical and theoretical knowledge needed for more advanced study. In the second year, the curriculum expands to include business information systems, client-server architectures, computer engineering, database systems, data science, and mobile and web computing, alongside practical modules such as object-oriented programming, games and computer graphics development, usability and interaction, and a group software development project. These modules combine theoretical understanding with practical application, encouraging collaboration and real-world problem-solving. In the final year, students consolidate and deepen their knowledge through advanced topics such as applied artificial intelligence, cyber security, digital strategy, and continued work in games and computer graphics development, mobile and web computing, and usability and interaction. The year culminates in a comprehensive final project, allowing students to demonstrate their ability to integrate technical, analytical, and creative skills. Across all three years, the course equips students with a versatile skill set in computing, preparing them for a wide range of careers in technology and related industries.
