COURSE CURRICULUM

The Business Computing BSc is a comprehensive three-year program designed to develop both technical and business expertise, preparing students to meet the demands of the modern digital economy. In the first year, students build foundational knowledge with modules such as Business Computing Fundamentals, Business Data Analysis, Business Information Systems Concepts and Applications, Business Requirements Analysis, Database Technologies, and Web Design and Development. These modules provide a strong grounding in programming, databases, web technologies, and information systems, while introducing the practical application of computing in business contexts. The second year deepens this knowledge through modules such as Agile Project Management and Professional Experience, BIS Development, Business Analytics, Business Process Intelligence, Cloud-driven Entrepreneurship and Enterprise, Data Visualisation and Communication, Human Computer Interaction and User Experience, and Machine Learning and Data Mining. Students also select an elective module, allowing for tailored learning and exploration of individual interests. In the final year, the program emphasizes advanced and applied skills with modules including Big Data Analytics, Business Computing Final Project, Business Innovation with Artificial Intelligence, Digital Marketing, Social Media and Web Analytics, Digital Strategy, Financial Technologies, and Information Systems Security and Assurance, along with another elective choice. Through this progression, students gain practical experience, analytical capabilities, and strategic insight, preparing them for careers in IT management, data analytics, digital innovation, or further postgraduate study.
