COURSE CURRICULUM

The Artificial Intelligence BSc is a three-year program that equips students with the technical, analytical, and ethical skills necessary to apply AI across diverse industries. In the first year, students build foundational knowledge through modules such as Foundations of AI, Applications of AI and Prompt Engineering, Software Development, Database Technologies, Mathematics for AI, and Human-Centred AI and Ethics. This year emphasizes core principles of AI, programming, and data management while introducing students to the ethical and societal implications of AI technologies. In the second year, students advance their practical and theoretical understanding through modules like Applied Deep Learning, Machine Learning and Data Mining, Data Engineering, Data Visualisation, Game Engine Architecture, Game Theory and Reinforcement Learning, Robotic Principles, and the Data Science Project Lifecycle. These modules provide hands-on experience in applying AI methods to real-world scenarios, including robotics, gaming, and data analytics. In the final year, students engage with advanced and specialized topics such as Advanced Deep Learning, Applications of Large Language Models, Applied Robotics, Secure and Scalable AI, Business Innovation with AI, Game AI, Big Data Analytics, and an Artificial Intelligence Final Project. This stage integrates knowledge from prior years, allowing students to implement complex AI solutions, conduct independent research, and develop professional portfolios, preparing them for careers in AI, data science, software engineering, and related fields.
