COURSE CURRICULUM

The Spanish and International Business BA combines language study with a comprehensive understanding of global business, preparing students for careers in international environments. In the first year, students build foundational knowledge in accounting, finance, marketing, and the global business environment, alongside developing their Spanish language skills and cultural awareness through modules in translation, literature, and the study of Spanish culture. This integrated approach helps students understand the social, historical, and cultural contexts that influence business practices. In the second year, the program deepens students’ expertise in international business through modules on digital business, international financial analysis, organisational behaviour, and business practice, while continuing to enhance Spanish language skills and intercultural communication. Opportunities for collaborative projects and applied learning allow students to connect theory with practice. In the final year, students focus on advanced topics such as comparative international management, global marketing management, and international financial management, alongside specialized modules exploring contemporary Hispanic studies, culture, and multilingualism. A final year project enables students to apply their knowledge to a focused research or practical project, synthesizing business and language skills. Overall, the course equips graduates with analytical, communicative, and cultural competencies, preparing them for roles in international business, consultancy, marketing, diplomacy, and other global professional contexts.
