COURSE CURRICULUM

The Event Management BA equips students with the knowledge, skills, and professional expertise required to succeed in the dynamic global events industry. In the first year, students develop a strong foundation in contemporary event management, learning core concepts, frameworks, and theories, while building research and analytical skills to assess strategies and propose innovative solutions. Modules cover accounting and finance for managers, fundamentals of event planning, managing teams, marketing research, and audience engagement, with the option to study electives, including foreign languages. In the second year, students refine their practical event management skills, focusing on problem-solving in diverse contexts and making informed decisions individually and as part of a team. This stage emphasizes event logistics, production and technology, entrepreneurial practice, marketing, and brand management, with opportunities to undertake study abroad or work experience for real-world exposure. In the final year, students consolidate their learning and demonstrate advanced expertise through critical analysis, strategic decision-making, and project management. Modules include creating entrepreneurial leadership, destination and heritage marketing, ethical leadership, sponsorship and partnership management, and a major final event project. Throughout the program, students develop transferable skills such as critical thinking, strategic planning, leadership, and effective communication, preparing them for professional roles in corporate, cultural, luxury, or sports event management across international markets.
