COURSE CURRICULUM

The International Business BA at Westminster provides students with a comprehensive understanding of global business operations and the skills needed to succeed in an interconnected world. In the first year, students are introduced to foundational topics such as marketing, communications, finance, management, and the global business environment, while also developing essential research, analytical, and report-writing skills. Employability activities integrated into the curriculum help students build career awareness from the outset. In the second year, the focus shifts to critically evaluating business practices and international relationships, with modules covering project management, ethics, social responsibility, international law, financial analysis, and organizational behavior. Students continue to enhance their employability through practical activities, optional electives, or opportunities such as study abroad or work placements. In the final year, students advance their research skills through a dedicated research methods module, culminating in a dissertation on an international business topic, demonstrating independence, critical thinking, and the ability to analyze complex global issues. Core modules also explore comparative international management, global marketing, international financial management, international political economy, and strategic perspectives. Throughout the degree, students can choose elective modules or foreign languages to broaden their expertise, preparing them to enter careers in multinational corporations, consultancy, global trade, or other roles that demand strategic, culturally aware, and analytically competent professionals in the international business arena.
