COURSE CURRICULUM

The French and International Business BA at Westminster combines the study of French language and culture with a comprehensive understanding of international business, equipping students with the skills needed to succeed in a globalised economy. In Year 1, students are introduced to foundational business and finance principles, marketing, and the global business environment, while also developing their French language and cultural knowledge through modules on translation, literature, and material culture. Year 2 builds on this foundation with more applied and analytical subjects, including international business practice, digital business, international financial analysis, and organisational behaviour, alongside further study of French culture and multilingual communication. This stage emphasizes the practical application of business and language skills, preparing students to navigate cross-cultural and commercial contexts effectively. In the final year, students refine their expertise through advanced topics such as comparative international management, global marketing management, and international financial management, while also undertaking a final year project to demonstrate research and analytical abilities. Optional modules in contemporary French and Francophone studies, multilingualism, and cultural issues allow students to tailor their studies to their interests. By integrating language, culture, and business, the course develops graduates who are highly employable in multinational companies, trade organisations, consultancy, or prepared for postgraduate study, offering a distinctive combination of linguistic fluency and international business competence.
