COURSE CURRICULUM

This course provides a comprehensive understanding of business and economics, combining practical management skills with in-depth economic knowledge. In the first year, students are introduced to the functions of business organisations, the broader business environment, and essential management competencies such as accounting, marketing, organisational behaviour, and information analysis. The curriculum emphasizes understanding organisational structures, governance, cultural differences, and ethical considerations while providing opportunities to broaden skills through optional modules, including foreign languages. In the second year, students explore principles of economics, examining concepts such as opportunity cost, marginal decision-making, market efficiency, and trade gains, reinforced through case studies. Management studies focus on developing transferable skills, including project management, resource allocation, leadership, and strategic planning, while modules cover money, banking, financial markets, digital economics, and data analysis. Students may also engage in study abroad experiences or work placements. In the third year, the focus shifts to current economic issues, examining microeconomic and macroeconomic policies, market failures, government intervention, economic growth, inequality, and financial markets. Strategic decision-making, team collaboration, and professional responsibility are emphasised through modules such as Global Strategic Management. Students also have the opportunity to study additional modules across the university, including foreign languages. Overall, the course equips graduates with the analytical, practical, and strategic skills necessary for success in business and economic roles in a global context.
