COURSE CURRICULUM

The Creative Media Arts BA course is designed to develop students’ technical expertise, creative thinking, and professional practice across a range of media. In the first year, students establish core skills in media production while transitioning into higher education through research and analysis of media culture. Practical workshops in moving image, photography, and interactive media form the foundation, complemented by projects that build conceptual development and challenge creative abilities. Key areas of study include creativity and collaboration, production design, visual effects, working with actors, interactive media, storytelling, and photography. In the second year, students consolidate their identity as multi- and interdisciplinary practitioners, exploring specific media in depth while engaging with new creative technologies and strategies for audience engagement. Work experience and study abroad opportunities broaden practical and cultural perspectives, while subjects include extended realities, media frontiers, camera and lighting skills, short-form film, scriptwriting, transmedia sound, and research synthesis. By the third year, students undertake substantial independent work, determining their own themes and producing high-level projects such as interactive installations, short films, documentaries, and hybrid forms. The culmination of the degree includes a Final Project and Dissertation, presented publicly through physical and digital exhibitions, preparing students for professional careers in creative media arts with a versatile, industry-ready portfolio.
