COURSE CURRICULUM

The Arabic and International Business BA offers a carefully structured curriculum that combines business, finance, and management studies with in-depth knowledge of Arabic language and culture. In Year 1, students build a foundation in accounting, finance, marketing, and global business while also being introduced to the study of culture, material meaning, and the Arab world, giving them a broad base for both business and language learning. Year 2 focuses on developing advanced business and cultural skills, covering areas such as digital business, international financial analysis, and organisational behaviour, alongside modules on Arabic culture, multilingual collaboration, and the role of language in public spaces. This stage encourages students to explore how business operates in global and cross-cultural contexts while strengthening their understanding of Arabic society. In the final year, students take a more strategic and analytical approach, engaging with topics such as international financial management, comparative management, global marketing, and strategic perspectives, alongside advanced studies of Arabic identity, culture, and multilingualism. The final year project allows students to integrate their learning into a substantial piece of independent research. Overall, the course prepares graduates with a unique skill set for careers in international business, finance, trade, diplomacy, and cross-cultural industries.
