COURSE CURRICULUM

This degree is structured to build strong foundations in accounting, finance, and management while progressively developing advanced analytical and strategic skills. In the first year, students are introduced to the functions of business organisations, their structures, governance, and cultural and ethical considerations within a global context. Core modules include accounting and finance fundamentals, management accounting, marketing, organisational behaviour, and quantitative methods, with opportunities to apply learning through analysing the financial performance of a chosen organisation. In the second year, the focus shifts to deeper financial analysis, including evaluating real company annual reports through ratio analysis and providing investment recommendations. Students also gain insight into corporate governance, project management, and resource allocation, while developing transferable skills in managing people and digital business practices. The final year advances these competencies further, emphasising the use of accounting information and emerging technologies to inform decision-making. Topics include taxation, accounting theory, financial management, and strategic leadership, alongside the study of contemporary issues in the profession. Students are encouraged to evaluate complex international business environments and develop leadership capabilities, preparing them for professional roles in finance, management, or accounting, as well as exemptions toward professional accountancy qualifications.
