COURSE CURRICULUM

This MSc in Digital Marketing is designed to equip students with both practical and theoretical skills. In Term 1 (September to December), students focus on Digital Branding and Future Marketing and Transformational Technologies, modules that blend practical applications with traditional marketing theories. In Term 2 (January to April), the program shifts towards more theoretical aspects of digital marketing, with a focus on creative research, digital communications, and understanding online behaviors. The curriculum covers 120 credits of core taught classes over one year, followed by an MSc dissertation or the "Developing Professional Practice" module. Key modules include Digital Marketing Practice, Digital Branding, Future Marketing and Transformational Technologies, Digital Marketing Theory, Creative Research, and Content Media Management. Students then have the choice of completing either the Marketing, Events & Tourism Dissertation Module (60 credits) or the Developing Professional Practice (60 credits) module. Additionally, students are encouraged to take the non-credit bearing DMI Accreditation module to prepare for the Digital Marketing Institute (DMI) online exam. This program also emphasizes the development of an online portfolio of competencies through individual assessments, providing students with the opportunity to sharpen their practical skills. By combining academic theory with industry-specific skills, this program offers a comprehensive approach to digital marketing, preparing students for a successful career in the field.
