COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc Policy Analysis and Global Governance program is designed to offer flexibility through both part-time and full-time study options, combining on-campus and online learning methods to suit diverse student needs. The course structure includes five core modules and one optional 20-credit module, followed by a 60-credit research dissertation. At the Postgraduate Diploma stage, students study key subjects such as Policy Analysis and Practice, Comparative Governance and Public Administration, Applied Research Methods in Social Sciences, and Global Crisis Management, alongside Contemporary Social Issues and one additional optional module chosen based on personal interests and availability. Optional modules may include topics such as Power, Politics and Civil Society, The State, Globalisation and Social Justice, or Applied Criminal Justice, allowing students to tailor their learning experience. Students who complete the taught modules but choose not to continue to the dissertation can exit with a Postgraduate Diploma award. Those progressing to the full master’s degree must complete an extended dissertation focused on a specific research question within public policy and governance. This research project, undertaken with academic supervision, enables students to specialise in an area of interest while developing advanced analytical and research skills, preparing them for professional roles in policy, governance, and international organisations.
