COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc Advanced Computing program is designed to equip students with a comprehensive understanding of advanced computing technologies, providing both theoretical knowledge and practical experience to enhance their contributions to the IT industry or prepare for research and development in academia or industry.During the Postgraduate Diploma (PgDip) stage, students will study core modules such as Mobile Networks and Smartphone Applications (20 Credits) and Data Mining and Visualisation (20 Credits). Additionally, students can choose from optional modules like Object Oriented Analysis & Design, Ethics for the IT Professional, Emerging Topics in Computing, and Research Design and Methods, each worth 10 credits. To complete the PgDip stage, students are required to select an additional 40 credits from a variety of optional modules, including Advanced Data Science, Advanced Wireless Networking Technologies, eHealth and Healthcare Systems, Intelligent Systems, Internet of Things, and Introduction to eHealth, each worth 20 credits.Upon successful completion of the PgDip, students can progress to the final stage of the program, where they will undertake the Masters Project (60 credits), applying their knowledge in a real-world or research-focused setting.
