COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc in Advanced Biomedical Science requires a total of 180 credits, consisting of six taught modules (20 credits each) and a 60-credit MSc Research Project Dissertation. The full-time program is divided into three terms: Terms 1 and 2 for taught modules and Term 3 for the research project. The core modules, undertaken by all students, include *Genetic Analysis in Biomedical Science*, *Disease: Detection, Monitoring, and Therapy*, *Research Design*, and the *Masters Research Project*. Students in Stream B (those with an IBMS-accredited undergraduate degree) and Stream C (those with a non-IBMS-accredited undergraduate degree) will also take *Biomedical Science Quality Management* and, for Stream C students, *Clinical Immunology*. Additionally, students can choose from optional modules such as *Advanced Laboratory Techniques*, *The Strategic Manager*, *Statistical Quality Control* (distance learning only), *Service Quality* (distance learning only), and *Work-Based Learning 1* or *2* (Specialist Portfolio). The program is tailored to students' backgrounds, offering specific modules for different streams to enhance their learning and career development in biomedical science.
