COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc Accounting & Finance at UWS London Campus offers a comprehensive program of core and optional modules designed to develop advanced knowledge and practical skills in accounting, finance, and business management. Core modules include International Corporate Reporting, which introduces financial reporting principles, bookkeeping, and key issues in accounting; Accounting for Performance and Control, covering cost management, budgeting, and financial and non-financial performance measurement; and Strategic Financial Management and Modelling, which focuses on building financial models, income statements, cash flow forecasts, and evaluating areas such as discounted cash flows, portfolio management, and working capital. Research Methods for Accounting and Finance develops qualitative and quantitative research skills, guiding literature reviews, research design, and data analysis. In the dissertation stage, students choose between a Business Research Project, focusing on strategic business investigation and recommendations, or Business Professional Practice, applying theory in real-world projects while developing professional networks. Optional modules include Audit, Ethics, and Corporate Governance, examining governance, auditing, ethical frameworks, and corporate social responsibility, and Money, Banking and the Financial System, which covers financial operations, banking, regulatory frameworks, and the role of central banks.
