COURSE CURRICULUM

The MBA with Logistics and Supply Chain Management at UWS combines core management education with specialised modules in logistics and supply chain systems, providing students with the knowledge and skills to excel in senior business roles. The program begins with three core modules: Fundamentals of Senior Management, which introduces essential management functions and the organisational and business contexts in which companies operate; The Strategic Manager, which explores the development and execution of effective business strategies; and Professional Management and Research Skills, which develops students’ ability to manage professional tasks and conduct research using a continuing professional development approach. Students on the Logistics and Supply Chain Management pathway also complete Supply Chain Management, focusing on the design, optimisation, and strategic integration of supply chains, and Logistics Management, which covers operational planning, inventory control, procurement, and the use of technology to improve efficiency. At the dissertation stage, students may choose between the Strategic Business Project or Developing Professional Practice. The Strategic Business Project allows students to undertake a rigorous, theory-based research project, integrating learning from previous modules to address significant business issues. Developing Professional Practice applies theory in real-world settings, enhancing both specialist and transferable skills while offering opportunities to build professional networks. Together, these modules ensure graduates gain practical, strategic, and analytical expertise required for leadership in logistics, supply chain management, and operations management.
