COURSE CURRICULUM

The MA in Creative Industries offers a flexible suite of modules designed to help students build a strong portfolio of high-quality creative work across various practice areas. The PgDip stage provides a broad understanding of the Creative Industries, focusing on creativity and media convergence. Students will explore core modules such as *Creative Portfolio* (core, 20 credits), *Creative Industries: Professional Practice* (core, 20 credits), and *Research: Critical Development* (core, 20 credits). The program also allows for specialization in areas like screenwriting, motion graphics, digital filmmaking, audio, and podcasting, with options such as *Collaborative Multiplatform Project* (20 credits) and *Wildlife Filmmaking & Media* (20 credits). A new strand on multiplatform and cross-media development will be emphasized, starting with *Creative Skills Development*. In the final stage, students will undertake the *Master’s Creative Project* (core, 60 credits), allowing them to complete a professional creative work like a feature-length documentary, multimedia product, or exhibition. Guest lecturers and industry mentors will provide students with valuable insights and exposure to professionals in the creative media sector, helping them develop the critical and practical skills necessary to advance their careers.
