COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc Financial Management program includes a set of core modules that develop students’ understanding of modern financial practices and business management. The Contemporary Issues in Corporate Reporting module explores advanced financial reporting practices, focusing on transparency, accountability, and the challenges organisations face when presenting financial information in a global business environment. Contemporary Issues in Performance Management examines how organisations measure and improve performance using financial and strategic management tools. The Corporate Governance module studies the systems, rules, and processes used to direct and control organisations, highlighting the importance of ethical leadership and responsible decision making. In Finance for Business Managers, students learn key financial principles and how financial analysis supports effective business decisions and strategic planning. The Global Business Challenges module encourages students to examine economic, political, and social factors that influence international business and financial operations. Strategic and Agile Business Management focuses on modern management approaches that help organisations respond to rapidly changing business environments. Throughout these modules, students develop analytical and decision-making skills that are essential for leadership roles in finance and management. The program concludes with a Dissertation, where students conduct independent research on a specialised financial topic. This project allows them to apply their knowledge, explore a chosen area in depth, and demonstrate their ability to analyse complex financial issues in a professional context.
