COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc in Engineering Project Management includes a range of modules designed to develop both technical and managerial skills needed to successfully lead engineering projects. The Procurement and Supply Chain Management module focuses on how materials, services, and resources are sourced and managed efficiently throughout a project. Students also study Project Management, which covers the key principles of planning, organising, and controlling engineering projects to ensure they are completed on time and within budget. The Research Methods module helps students develop the analytical and research skills needed to investigate complex engineering problems and support decision making. Business Analytics introduces techniques for analysing business data and using insights to improve project performance and organisational strategy. In the Lean Six Sigma module, students learn methods used to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance the quality of processes within engineering and manufacturing environments. The Resourcing and Financial Management for Projects module examines how financial planning, budgeting, and resource allocation are managed in large projects. Sustainable Operations Management focuses on improving operational performance while considering environmental and sustainability issues. The program concludes with a Master’s Project, where students apply their knowledge and leadership skills to address a real-world engineering challenge, demonstrating their ability to manage complex engineering projects from planning to completion.
