COURSE CURRICULUM

The MA in Education Studies includes a set of compulsory modules designed to develop students’ understanding of educational theory, research, leadership, and global issues in education. The program begins with Introduction to Master’s Study, which helps students build essential academic skills such as critical reading, academic writing, and independent research. Transforming Education: Effective Change in Leadership and Management explores how leadership and management strategies can influence positive change within educational institutions and learning environments. The Global Citizenship and Sustainability module examines how education contributes to global awareness, social responsibility, and sustainable development, encouraging students to consider education from an international perspective. Principles of Pedagogy, Teaching and Learning focuses on key theories and practices related to teaching methods, learning processes, and classroom engagement. Students also study The Philosophy and Practice of Social Research, which introduces important research methods and ethical considerations used in educational studies. This module prepares students to design and conduct their own academic research projects. The program concludes with a Dissertation, where students carry out an independent research study on a topic related to education. This final project allows students to apply the theoretical knowledge and research skills gained throughout the course while developing a deeper understanding of a specific educational issue or area of interest.
