COURSE CURRICULUM

The MA Glass – Contemporary Dialogues program includes a set of compulsory modules designed to support creative experimentation, critical thinking, and the development of advanced glass practice. The Coexistent Perspectives module introduces students to diverse artistic viewpoints and encourages them to examine how cultural, social, and creative influences shape contemporary glass art and design. The Thought Experiment module focuses on developing conceptual thinking, allowing students to explore new ideas, question traditional methods, and connect theoretical knowledge with practical experimentation in glass. Collaborative Dialogues encourages students to work with peers from different artistic disciplines, promoting discussion, critique, and creative collaboration that broadens their understanding of contemporary art and design practices. A major part of the program is Explorative Research and Praxis, where students investigate materials, techniques, and concepts through experimental studio work and research-led practice. This module allows them to test innovative ideas and develop their own artistic direction within glass practice. Confirmative Praxis builds on this exploration by guiding students in refining their concepts and producing a substantial body of work that demonstrates their technical skill, creativity, and professional development. Together, these modules help students develop strong practical abilities, research skills, and a unique creative voice while preparing them to present a final project that showcases their artistic identity and expertise in contemporary glass practice.
