COURSE CURRICULUM

The LLB Law program is structured over three years to provide a progressive and comprehensive understanding of law. In the first year, students build a solid foundation in legal principles through modules such as Tort Law, Criminal Law 1 and 2, Law, Society and the Future, Legal Foundation and Skills, and Study and Professional Skills. This year focuses on developing essential legal knowledge, analytical abilities, and foundational skills needed for further study and professional practice. In the second year, students advance their understanding with modules including Business Law and Practice, Contract Law, Family Law and Practice, Public Law, and Preparing for Research. Opportunities for international mobility are offered, along with a Gateway to Employment module to enhance professional readiness. This year emphasizes applying knowledge to practical scenarios, developing research skills, and preparing for career opportunities in the legal sector. The final year deepens expertise with Equity and Trusts, Employment Law, Land Law, Contemporary Law, and a substantial Dissertation for Law and Criminology. Students refine critical thinking, research, and problem-solving abilities, while gaining insight into contemporary legal challenges. By combining theoretical knowledge, practical skills, and professional preparation, graduates complete the program well-equipped for legal practice or a range of careers where analytical, research, and communication skills are essential.
