The Motorcycle Engineering BEng (Hons) degree provides a comprehensive pathway from foundational mechanical engineering to advanced motorcycle design and innovation. In the first year, students are introduced to core engineering principles, including analytical methods, engineering science, and design, while developing practical skills through modules in electrical control systems, motorcycle technology, and workshop practice. Tools such as Computer-Aided Design and Data Acquisition are taught to build essential technical capabilities and prepare students for applied engineering tasks. The second year emphasizes high-performance motorcycle systems, focusing on vehicle dynamics, powertrain efficiency, aerodynamics, and alternative propulsion.
