COURSE CURRICULUM

The BA International Travel and Tourism Management program is designed to provide a progressive understanding of the global travel and tourism industry over three years. In the first year, students gain foundational knowledge in tourism and travel management, exploring key concepts in Tourism Management, Travel Management, and global tourism. Core principles of business and management are introduced alongside practical placements, helping students develop essential skills in hospitality, guest service, and operations. The second year builds on this foundation, focusing on travel and tourism strategies, destination management, and events operations. Students engage in more advanced industry experiences, including international placements and training, which broaden their global perspective and refine operational, enterprise, and research skills. Modules cover sustainable global tourism, live events projects, and operations management, equipping students to address real-world challenges. In the final year, students consolidate their knowledge through independent projects and advanced placements, applying strategic and creative problem-solving to tourism, events, and leisure management. Emphasis is placed on global destination and resort management, heritage and attraction management, crisis management, and enhancing guest service standards. By combining theoretical learning, practical experience, and international exposure, graduates leave prepared to enter the travel and tourism sector with the skills, confidence, and innovative mindset needed to succeed in diverse professional roles worldwide.
