COURSE CURRICULUM

In the first year of the Film and TV program, students focus on building a strong foundation in film production and storytelling. They gain practical experience in key areas such as camera operation, editing, and narrative development while also exploring the history and theory of cinema. Through modules such as storytelling, investigating spaces, and applied storytelling practice, students learn how to develop creative ideas and translate them into visual narratives. They also study digital learning, perception, and textual practices, while collaborating on studio and location shoots to develop practical filmmaking skills. In the second year, students expand and refine their technical and creative abilities while gaining a deeper understanding of storytelling and production techniques. They explore areas such as cinematography, sound design, and visual storytelling across different genres, including documentary and multi-camera television production. Modules also focus on creativity, research in context and practice, and designing stories for screen. Students continue developing applied storytelling skills and begin to build their professional identity through career-focused modules that help them develop a personal brand for future employment. In the final year, students consolidate the knowledge and skills gained throughout the course and prepare for careers in film and television. They complete major projects including a graduate project pitch and a substantial graduate production, alongside an independent project and participation in a film festival, allowing them to showcase their work and industry readiness.
