COURSE CURRICULUM

The Investment Management MSc offers a detailed and rigorous curriculum designed to equip students with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills required for a successful career in global finance. In the first semester, students focus on foundational areas such as equity investment analysis, fixed income investments, principles of finance and investment, and quantitative methods, which collectively build a strong understanding of financial markets and analytical techniques. The second semester advances these skills through modules in derivatives securities, portfolio management, ethics in finance, and applied cases in international finance, providing students with the ability to evaluate complex investment scenarios and make informed decisions. Optional modules allow for further specialisation in areas such as corporate finance, international finance, risk management, international corporate governance, and financial modelling, giving students flexibility to tailor their studies to their career goals. Across the academic year, students also undertake an international finance project, integrating theory and practice while applying analytical and problem-solving skills to real-world financial challenges.
