COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc in International Hotel Management provides a comprehensive curriculum designed to equip students with the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in the global hospitality industry. In the first semester, students focus on foundational subjects such as research methods, strategic human resource management, services marketing for events, tourism and hospitality, and operating systems with an emphasis on sustainability. These modules develop analytical, managerial, and operational skills, preparing students to navigate complex challenges in hotel and service management. The second semester builds on this foundation with advanced compulsory modules in strategic management of international hotel companies, accounting and finance for the service industry, and further research methods, ensuring students understand both the strategic and financial dimensions of running global hospitality operations. Optional modules allow students to tailor their studies to their interests, covering areas such as revenue management, ethics and corporate social responsibility, business analytics in services, contemporary sustainability issues, designing digital services, and hospitality information systems. Across the academic year, students have the opportunity to complete a dissertation or business plan project, applying their knowledge to real-world scenarios and developing practical problem-solving and decision-making skills.
