COURSE CURRICULUM

The FinTech MSc program offers a comprehensive exploration of the rapidly evolving financial technology landscape, combining theoretical knowledge with practical skills to prepare students for careers in this dynamic sector. In the first semester, students build a foundational understanding through core modules such as an overview of FinTech and an introduction to Python programming, which equip them with essential technical and analytical skills. Optional modules allow learners to deepen their knowledge in areas including blockchain fundamentals, data mining and text analytics, financial principles, cyberlaw, entrepreneurship, and analytics, enabling a personalised learning experience that aligns with career goals. The second semester focuses on the regulatory, policy, and strategic aspects of FinTech, with compulsory modules covering financial regulation, FinTech policy projects, case studies in FinTech, financial modelling, and ethics in finance. Optional modules offer further opportunities to specialise in risk management, international finance, innovation management, or digital project development. Throughout the program, students are encouraged to integrate theoretical insights with practical applications through projects and case studies, developing critical thinking, problem-solving, and strategic decision-making skills.
