COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc in Environmental Strategy offers a structured and comprehensive program that equips students with the knowledge and skills needed to address complex environmental challenges across multiple sectors. In the first semester, students engage with core modules including Environmental Science and Society, Environmental Auditing and Management Systems, and Foundations and Applications of Sustainable Development, which provide a solid grounding in the principles of environmental management and sustainable practice. Optional modules such as Life Cycle Thinking and the Circular Economy, Corporate Sustainability, and Industrial Placement opportunities allow students to tailor their learning to their individual interests and gain practical experience. In the second semester, the curriculum covers Environmental Law, offering insight into the regulatory frameworks shaping environmental policy, while optional modules such as Ecological Economics, Transitions to a Low Carbon Economy, Life Cycle Assessment, and the Psychology of Sustainable Development further enhance specialised knowledge and applied skills. Across both semesters, students undertake a dissertation, enabling them to conduct independent research and critically analyse a relevant environmental issue.
