COURSE CURRICULUM

The Electronic Engineering MSc program offers students a comprehensive and flexible curriculum designed to develop advanced expertise in a range of electronic and communication technologies. In the first semester, students can select from a variety of optional modules, including digital communications, RF and microwave fundamentals, nanoscale science and nanotechnology, satellite communications, RF systems and circuit design, renewable energy technologies, wireless communication principles, fundamentals of machine learning for communications, and artificial intelligence of things. These options allow students to tailor their learning to their interests and career aspirations while building a solid foundation in both theoretical and practical aspects of electronic engineering. In the second semester, students engage with core modules such as research, professionalism, and innovation, which provide essential skills in project management, research methodology, and professional development. Additional optional modules in this semester include data and internet networking, digital design with VHDL, AI and AI programming, nanoelectronics and devices, advanced satellite communication techniques, microwave design techniques, battery and electrical systems, antennas and propagation, advanced wireless technologies, network planning and management, and semiconductor devices and optoelectronics. Across the year, students also undertake a 60-credit standard project, enabling them to apply their knowledge and skills to practical, real-world problems. The program’s combination of compulsory and optional modules ensures graduates are equipped for diverse careers in telecommunications, energy systems, electronics, and emerging technologies.
