COURSE CURRICULUM

In the first year of this program, students undertake a comprehensive study of voice and singing, combining foundational training with advanced professional practice. The curriculum begins with Vocal Fundamentals, where students develop essential technical skills, control, and awareness of vocal production. Building on this, the Voice and Singing Pedagogies module provides an in-depth understanding of teaching methods, vocal health, and instructional strategies, equipping students to guide others effectively in their vocal development. Advanced Professional Practice focuses on refining performance skills, stage presence, and artistic interpretation, enabling students to approach professional settings with confidence and versatility. Integrated Teaching Practice complements these modules by offering practical, hands-on experience in delivering vocal instruction and leading ensembles, fostering a balance between technical mastery and pedagogical application. Throughout the year, students engage in intensive workshops, collaborative exercises, and performance opportunities, which cultivate both individual artistry and ensemble collaboration. Emphasis is placed not only on skill development but also on understanding the theoretical, historical, and scientific aspects of the voice.
