COURSE CURRICULUM

The master’s program in English Literature is designed to deepen students’ understanding of narratives, cultures, and ideas while enhancing their research skills and literary expertise. Guided by internationally recognised experts, students explore a wide range of literary periods, genres, and theoretical frameworks, allowing them to engage critically with texts and the cultural, historical, and social contexts in which they were produced. The course encourages independent research, giving students the tools to develop and execute their own projects under expert supervision. Through seminars, workshops, and research-focused activities, students cultivate analytical and interpretive skills as well as academic writing proficiency, all of which are essential for careers in academia, publishing, or related fields. Optional modules allow for specialised study in areas of particular interest, such as contemporary literature, comparative literature, or cultural studies, providing a tailored learning experience. A significant component of the program is the dissertation project, which enables students to conduct original research and synthesise the knowledge and skills acquired throughout the course.
