COURSE CURRICULUM

The BSc in Video Game Design and Development provides a comprehensive pathway for students to acquire both creative and technical skills essential for the gaming industry. In the first year, students focus on foundational skills in visual storytelling, concept art, 2D and 3D digital graphics, character design, animation, and introductory game programming, alongside audio fundamentals. This establishes a strong base in artistic expression, coding, and interactive media. In the second year, the course builds on these skills with advanced modules in gameplay programming, game design and development, collaborative projects, and story-driven performance. Students also have the opportunity to explore optional modules in animation practice and sound design, enabling specialization and practical application. The final year emphasizes creative and technical integration, allowing students to work on advanced projects in coding game environments, digital events, and interactive storytelling, while addressing critical perspectives through modules on ethics, diversity, and digital platform studies. The program culminates in a major final project that synthesizes the knowledge and skills gained throughout the course.
