COURSE CURRICULUM

The BSc (Hons) Business Economics and Data Analytics degree provides a comprehensive education in economic theory, business operations, and data-driven decision-making. In the first year, students build foundational knowledge through modules in Introductory Economics, Quantitative Methods, Contemporary Issues in Economics, Economic Data Analysis, Mathematics for Economics, Principles of Microeconomics and Macroeconomics, and Statistics for Economics, alongside Employability I to develop professional skills. The second year advances into more specialized topics, including Intermediate Microeconomics and Macroeconomics, Introductory and Intermediate Econometrics, Fundamentals of Business Analytics, Financial Accounting, and Analytics Tools for Business Economics, with optional modules in World Economic History, Financial and Business History, International Organisations, and Political Ideologies, alongside Employability II. This year emphasizes analytical skills and the practical application of data to business and economic decision-making. In the final year, students focus on international and policy-oriented economics through modules such as International Trade, Economics of Competition and Regulation Policy, and International Finance. Optional modules, including Time Series Econometrics, Behavioural Economics, Environmental Economics, and Corporate Finance, allow students to tailor their studies to specific interests.
