COURSE CURRICULUM

The BSc (Hons) Accounting and Finance program offers a structured learning journey across three years, combining core knowledge with professional skills and accredited modules that support career progression in accountancy and finance. In the first year, students build a foundation in financial and management accounting, operations management, business economics, and marketing, alongside key areas such as business law and ethics, financial mathematics with Excel, and academic and employability skills. The second year advances this knowledge with modules in financial accounting, management accounting, taxation, and global corporate finance, while also incorporating management information systems, financial planning and modelling, and digital coding. Students can tailor their studies by selecting optional modules such as international business, business analytics, entrepreneurship, or market insights. In the final year, the course focuses on advanced and international perspectives, with compulsory modules in financial management, financial reporting, and business strategy, as well as a sustainability in finance project. Students can then specialize further by choosing from a wide range of accredited and applied options such as auditing, financial risk management, advanced taxation, leadership, project management, fintech, banking, or applied analytics. This structure ensures a balance of technical expertise, practical application, and career-oriented skills.
