The BA (Hons) Actor-Musician degree offers a three-year pathway that integrates acting and musicianship, equipping students with the versatility to thrive in diverse performance settings. In the first year, the focus is on developing strong foundations through modules such as Acting Fundamentals, The Actor-Musician and Music, The Actor-Musician and the Voice, and The Actor-Musician and the Body. These introduce core performance skills, combining dramatic techniques with musicality, physical awareness, and vocal training. The second year builds on these foundations with advanced Core Skills in dance, movement, voice, singing, music, and digital media, ensuring students expand their creative and technical abilities. Alongside this, The Actor-Musician and Rehearsal module deepens ensemble and rehearsal practice, while Professional Formation prepares students for the expectations and demands of the creative industries. In the final year, the emphasis shifts towards industry readiness and artistic independence. Modules such as Advanced Skills and Performance provide opportunities to refine personal style and take part in public productions, while Professional Engagement connects students with real-world contexts and professional networks. This progression develops confident, adaptable performers capable of combining acting and musical skills, ready to enter theatre, film, live performance, and other creative industries as actor-musicians.
