COURSE CURRICULUM

The BA (Hons) Acting course offers a structured three-year progression designed to build professional skills, creative confidence, and performance versatility. In the first year, students are introduced to core principles through modules such as Acting Fundamentals, Embodied Voice and Movement, The Actor in Rehearsal, and Collaborative Principles. These lay the foundation for understanding performance techniques, vocal and physical expression, and the dynamics of working effectively within an ensemble. The second year focuses on deepening these skills while expanding into new areas of performance. Modules such as Embodied Voice and Movement 2 and Screen/Acting Fundamentals help students adapt their craft to different performance contexts, while The Actor in Rehearsal 2 continues to refine stage techniques. The Bridge Project acts as a transitional experience, linking training with industry expectations. In the final year, the emphasis shifts toward professional practice and creative independence. Students take part in modules such as Collaboration Within Industry, Public Productions, and Self-Generated or Devised Season, which allow them to engage directly with industry professionals, perform for live audiences, and create their own original work. This progression ensures graduates leave with strong technical grounding, practical experience, and the adaptability required for diverse careers in theatre, film, and performance.
